Yesterday we had our last Heart for Africa 2009 Team meeting before we leave for Malawi :), and spent time preparing our hearts through looking at what the Bible says about the "Why and How of Pleasing God" and in singing praises to God for His Grace in our lives.
As usual there was tons of good food (THANKS parents!!)
... and then tons more paper work to hand out and file in our ever present Binders :) The paperwork included our "final" itinerary, travel groups, who we are rooming with, cultural info on Malawi, etc.
We divided up all the craft materials and toys, etc. we are taking and Mrs de Smidt went through the suggested packing list ... we have to SQUEEZE everything into 44 pounds (including hand luggage !?!?)
Miss Smith taught some of us the do's and dont's re the telling of Bible stories to kids and then we all went home HOT (90 deg F) and tired, but another step closer to our Journey to Africa :D
